Benchmob :: Tuesday, May 24 :: Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat: Game 4
TITLE TRACKER  ::  Win 9 of 16 to Championship

BENCHMOB TOTALS: 18 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assists, 0 steals, 1 block.

BM GAME WRAP:  Game four will go down as a true heart breaker for Bullsnation.  The Bulls played hard and had a chance to win at the end of regulation, but Derrick Rose’s jumper fell short.  Looking like a gased team, the Bulls fell 93-101 to the Heat.  With only 3 players in double digits (Boozer 20pts, Deng 20pts and Rose 23pts) the team game that has been the Bulls strength could not pull them through.  The Bulls come home on Thursday night looking to make the series 3-2 and send it back to Miami for Game 6.  For all the fans in attendence on Thurday night…STAND AND CHEER, this series ain’t over until the Heat win 4 games.

‘MOBBER OF THE NIGHT (MoN):  Ronnie “Baseline” Brewer  finishing with 7 points, 2 boards and a block.  Ronnie was about the only Bench Mobber who was able to make an impact with his Defense and a huge 3 at the end.  Honorable mention goes out to CJ “Quiet Storm” Watson for bringing instant offense in scoring 6 quick in the first half.

TITLE TRACKER  ::  Win 9 of 16 to Championship

BENCHMOB TOTALS: 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 0 blocks.

BM GAME WRAP:  Continuing with the wrong trend, the Bulls played hard, and kept the game close for 3.5 quarter, but could not score down the stretch.  Miami’s defense played well and held the bulls to 41% shooting.  A Lone bright spot was the dominant return of Carlos Boozer who chipped in 26 points and 17 boards.  Derrick Rose dumped in 20 points with 5 boards and 5 dimes.  The Bulls will look to even the series at 2-2 on Tuesday Night.  This season the Bulls have NEVER lost 3 in a row…let’s keep with that theme and take back home court.  BEAT THE HEAT!

‘MOBBER OF THE NIGHT (MoN):  Taj Gibson  finishing with 11 points, 3 boards. Honorable mention goes out to Ronnie “Baseline” Brewer for bringing great energy & defense.  Finishing with 4 points, 2 steals and 1 assist.  The Bench Mob has been a non-factor in two games in a row, look for them to step up big in Game 4.

TITLE TRACKER  ::  Win 9 of 16 to Championship

BENCHMOB TOTALS: 20 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks.

BM GAME WRAP:  The Bulls came out shooting cold and could never get it going in this one.  Finishing the game shooting 34% from the floor, 15% from deep and 61.5% from the line, they simply did not have enough offense to hang with the Heat on this nite.  Derrick Rose chipped in 21 points. 8 dimes and 6 boards, but shot just 7-23 overall.  The only good news was that in the end the Bulls still had a chance to win, but simply failed to execute.  The Bulls will look to regain control of home court when the play Game 3 in Miami on Sunday.

‘MOBBER OF THE NIGHT (MoN):  Taj Gibson  finishing with 8 points, 1 boards and 3 blocks. Honorable mention goes out to Ronnie “Baseline” Brewer for bringing great energy & defense.  Finishing with 7 points, 2 steals, 2 dimes and 4 boards in only 16 minutes Ronnie was solid in every aspect of the game.

Benchmob :: Sunday, May 15 :: Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat: Game 1
TITLE TRACKER  ::  Win 9 of 16 to Championship

BENCHMOB TOTALS: 28 points, 14 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks.

BM GAME WRAP:  With the Madhouse at raucous levels starting with the national anthem, the Bulls fed off the energy and did not disappoint.  Led by Derrick Rose (28 points 6 dimes), Loul Deng (21 points, 7 boards, 2 dimes and 4 steals), Carlos Boozer (14 points, 9 boards) and Joakim Noah (9 points, 14 boards) the Bulls proved that a team effort is bigger than any 3.  In a tight game at the half, it was The Bench Mob that made a difference in the second half.  Featuring their own Big 3D’s - Derrick Rose, Defense and Da Bench Mob - the Bulls showed the world why the finished the season with the best record in the league.  Game 2 will be played Wednesday night in Chicago, where the Bulls will look for the commanding 2-0 lead.

————————————————————————————-

‘MOBBER OF THE NIGHT (MoN):  Taj Gibson  finishing with 9 points, 7 boards, 2 dimes and 2 blocks Taj was a monster.  Having maybe two of the best dunks of the year, Taj “served up a facial” on D. Wade and then later threw down what we consider the “TAJmahawk!”. Honorable mention goes out to Ronnie “Baseline” Brewer for bringing great energy & defense.  Finishing with 8 points and three boards in only 19 minutes Ronnie was solid in every aspect of the game.

Benchmob :: Thursday, May 12 :: Chicago Bulls vs. Atlanta Hawks: Game 6
TITLE TRACKER  ::  Win 8 of 16 to Championship

BENCHMOB TOTALS: 24 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steals, 3 blocks.

BM GAME WRAP:  These Bulls continue to impress and grow as they finished off the Hawks in impressive fashion.  With the 93-73 blowout, The Chicago Bulls will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 1998.  Led by Carlos Boozer’s 23 points, 10 boards and 5 dimes, the total team effort (5 players in double figures) was too much for the Hawks to handle.  The Eastern Conference Finals will start Sunday in Chicago where the Bulls will prove that 12 is better than any “Big 3”!

————————————————————————————-

‘MOBBER OF THE NIGHT (MoN):  Taj Gibson  again brought his usual defensive effort and solid play to help the Bulls.  Finishing with 10 points (5-7 FGs), 4 boards and assist and a block (in only 14 minutes) Taj proved he is a key member of this team. Honorable mention goes out to Omer “The Turkish Hammer” Asik for bringing great energy & defense yet again in extended minutes (20).  with 5 points, 3 boards and 2 blocks…Omer is becoming a very valuable member/defensive force for this team.

TITLE TRACKER  ::  Win 7 of 16 to Championship

BENCHMOB TOTALS: 17 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks.

BM GAME WRAP:  In what many considered a “must-win”, the Bulls did not disappoint.  Coming out of the gate strong, only to allow the Hawks back into it in the 3rd, it was the help from The Bench Mob (Taj, Omer & Ronnie) that allowed the Bulls to pull away in the 4th.  A game that truly was a “team game” with 5 players in double figures, Derrick Rose led the way with 33 points and 9 dimes.  Now leading the series 3-2, The Bulls will look to close out the Hawks on Thursday night and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

————————————————————————————-

‘MOBBER OF THE NIGHT (MoN):  Taj Gibson  brought his usual defensive effort and solid play to help the Bulls pull away in the 4th.  Finishing with 11 points (5-5 FGs), 2 boards and 2 dimes Taj proved he is a key member of this team. Honorable mention goes out to Omer “The Turkish Hammer” Asik for bringing great energy & defense yet again in extended minutes (20).  Omer came in and provided the Bulls with defense and energy that the Hawks could not match.

Benchmob :: Sunday, May 8 :: Chicago Bulls vs. Atlanta Hawks: Game 4
TITLE TRACKER  ::  Win 6 of 16 to Championship

BENCHMOB TOTALS: 14 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assists, 5 steals, 7 blocks.

————————————————————————————-

‘MOBBER OF THE NIGHT (MoN):  Taj Gibson  came in off the bench exploding to shoot 3-3, scoring 9 and adding 4 blocks and 2 steals in only 13 minutes. TITLE TRACKER  ::  Win 6 of 16 to Championship

BENCHMOB TOTALS: 34 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, 3 block.

BM GAME WRAP:  The Bulls came out aggressive from the start and never looked back.  Leading the charge for the Bulls, Derrick Rose was in MVP form scoring 44 points (a new career-high) to go along with 7 dimes and 5 boards.  However, the resurgence of The Bench Mob helped put the Bulls over the edge for this win.  With great contributions off the Bench from Taj Gibson, Kyle “HotSauce” Korver and CJ “Quiet Storm” Watson, The Bench Mob reestablished themselves as a force to be reckoned with.  Game 4 will be played Sunday, where the Bulls will looking to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.

————————————————————————————-

‘MOBBER OF THE NIGHT (MoN):  Taj Gibson  came in off the bench exploding for 13 points and 11 boards in only 26 minutes.  Filling the shoes for Carlos Boozer (foot injury & foul trouble), Taj proved he is a reliable 6th man for this squad.  Honorable mention again goes out to Kyle “HotSauce” Korver for heating up from the floor scoring 11 points on 4-6 shooting (3-4 from beyond the arc).

TITLE TRACKER  ::  Win 5 of 16 to Championship

BENCHMOB TOTALS: 14 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 0 steals, 1 block.

BM GAME WRAP:  For the first time in the 2011 NBA playoffs, The Chicago Bulls looked like the team we watched all year.  Playing good defense (Held Atlanta to only 73 points) and great rebounding (Out-rebounded Atlanta 58-39) the Bulls had control of this game.  The Madhouse was rocking from the start after Derrick Roses pre-game acceptance of the MVP award.  Leading all scorers with 25 points, 10 dimes and 6 boards, D.Rose showed why he was the MVP.  Strong efforts by Joakim Noah (19 points & 14 boards) and Loul Deng (14 points & 12 boards) helped the Bulls handle the pesky Hawks.  The Bulls head to Atlanta for Friday’s game 3 of the series.

————————————————————————————-

‘MOBBER OF THE NIGHT (MoN):  Taj Gibson  came in off the bench provide his typical great energy and excellent Defense.  The stat sheet did not show the true value Taj brought to the game (scoring only 2 points and grabbing 5 boards in 16 minutes) as he gave the Bulls a spark with Boozer struggling.  Honorable mention goes out to Kyle “HotSauce” Korver for bringing great energy and a big 3 off the bench.
